Alternative Flash Method

Alternative Flash Method You don't have to flash the box via your PC, USB cable, reset button and Phoenix Suite. You can also a) write the stock factory image to an SD card with PhoenixCard V309, b) insert the SD card and then power cycle the box. It'll boot the image and flash it straight to nand memory. No cable, no reset required. Image to SD card = 7 - 8 minutes SD card to nand memory = 8 minutes Not the fastest route, perhaps, but avoids possible issues with drivers, USB and the burning tool. I've uploaded PhoenixCard here:  https://mega.co.nz/#!8IF3xSBD!i7Cbo8Kh-LKqxMKLPSTZ2ypSKCbuqynwqDctHnZ_d6c The link below summarizes this "Production SD Card Method". Just make sure the "Product" option is checked before writing the image to SD card. http://learn.linksprite.com/pcduino/...pcduino8-beta/ Note: with our board, you do get a helpful on-screen progress bar during the flashing stage.

Google services not working right for many folks

图片
Various Google services have been reportedly acting up for a number of folks for at least the last hour or so, and longer for others. So if you are having issues with Google right now, you aren’t alone. While Google’s  status site  only shows Gmail as experiencing issues, many are finding that the majority of Google’s services are either not working or are extremely slow, including Search, Drive, Maps and even Youtube. Considering this issue has been going on for at least part of the afternoon, it’s pretty likely this will be resolved quickly. It is also worth noting that not everyone is running into issues, so the service outages seem to be hit and miss, depending on the region and so forth. Are you having any issues with Google services, if so, which ones? Were you experiencing problems but no longer? Let us know in the comments.

Pinterest updated with improved navigation, visual enhancements and more

图片
The  Pinterest  app on Android is receiving a new update today that introduces a brand new design, bringing a more simplified look to the app. It’s no  Material Design , but it does add quite a few visual enhancements. Icons are softer and easier to find, and make the whole app feel more “Android-friendly.” Navigation is also getting some improvements, making it easier to find the things you need most. The start-up time is also experiencing a major improvement, cutting down the launch time from 5.3-seconds to 2 seconds. Not bad at all! The Pinterest app needed some tweaking when it came to the UI, so it’s nice to see the developers are working on it. As it was once named one of the  best Android apps of the year , this update should help them get back to that stature, though we think it needs a bit more work (ahem, Material Design). The update should be rolled out to everyone within the coming days, so be on the look out. Happy pinning!
